Oh God. Scary, scary news. My brother Stuart is being sent to Baghdad (he's in Naval Intelligence) for six months. He leaves next week.

Everyone, please pray for him. I'm so scared for him.

You know I will. I know what it's like. If it's any consolation, if he's in Intel, that means he'll probably be behind the lines, in a bunker, sifting through stuff. Us intel geeks have the cushiest jobs. :)

What exactly do you do (I know you're in MN)? If you're in Intel, how come you'd mentioned doing, uh, maneuvers (target practice? Don't know the correct terms, sorry to say, even with several family members in the Navy)?

He has my prayers, such as they are. Just remember, it's not as bad over there as it's portrayed in the news; there are parts of the Bronx, Chicago, or L.A. that are far more dangerous than Baghdad. And being in M.I., he'll likely be far from any action. He'll be fine, and come home in the spring with lots of interesting stories.
