I am the child of an opera singer and a Navy pilot--born in Coronado, California and raised in Virginia, which I miss especially in spring when the azaleas bloom and you can smell the boxwoods. I have extended family throughout Mississippi (father's family in Jackson, also connected with Millsaps College), Alabama (maternal GF's family in Birmingham), Georgia (my mother's family, Hix, is in Atlanta) and Louisiana (my father's family, the Bartons and the Bartletts, are from Magnolia and New Orleans).

I have three brothers, whom I love very much. One is a performer like me, the other two are in the Navy like our father.

I am an actor (like my maternal GM, who knew Billie Holliday) and director, and I moved to New York City in 2000. The city is wonderful (except in the winter), sexy and exciting with wonderful museums and restaurants. I have two adorable cats, HIH Tatiana Clarovna Greenskaya (aka Tatia) and the Emperor Tiberius Hotspur Spots (aka Tibby Two-Shoes). I am considering entitling my autobiography Two Many Tabbies, because of their late-night steppiness that interferes with my sleep.
