I would suggest, as an alternative to torture, that you simply open the next virus attachment you receive on that PC. I'm sure the aggravation of receiving countless viral emails from your PC will bring him running with the appropriate software.
Wait a minute... the tech security expert doesn't like to travel to No'Bo because it is in the suburbs (unless it is to attend trivia). The invitation has always been open; I didn't realize that a special invitation to come over to install the software was needed. After all, I do see the tech security expert on a rather frequent basis.
I think it has more to do with the fact that the tech security expert doesn't like to climb the three flights of stairs to my apartment.
I like torture, and can combine it with the opening of the next virus attachment to achieve the proper effect. :)
Of course, the tech security expert would never recommend opening a virus-infected attachment, because doing so would violate the Code of Conduct he agreed to upon achieving the CISSP professional credential. In fact, he would never even joke about such a thing.
NoBo is out in the suburbs, after all, but since the return of several borrowed items will necessitate a trip there anyway, he might be pursuaded to take care of that software installation at the same time...
"Suggestions" are different than "reoommendations". A "recommendation" rates higher and inspires more confidence than a "suggestion".
Regardless, I like my computer too much to get it infected. I have an 80 gig hard drive that would need to be disinfected if that were to occur.
So, when does the tech security expert think he will be in the 'burbs of No'Bo to return the borrowed items and what does one need to do to persuade him to take care of the software installation? :)
