So. The Yankees are on the verge of winning the American League Pennant. I know I'm a bad New Yorker for saying this, but I'd prefer for the Sox to win. I did live in New England for several years, after all, and I just wanna fall asleep at the thought of the Yankees going to the World Series yet again. Those damn Yankees, why can't we beat 'em? Hesouthessafehesouthessafe...I tend to root for the underdog, at least in sports--it makes a better story than the Big Blue Juggernaut rolling over everyone. By that same token, I'm rooting for the Cubbies. (I read that Cubs security "escorted" that idiot that grabbed the ball out of the stands. I can't believe he wasn't torn to pieces on the spot.) And just imagine--a Red Sox/Cubs World Series? That would be historical. Even I would watch that series. (I get bored watching sports on TV, generally--I love playing baseball very much, but it's not as interesting just to watch, especially via remote media.)

Yankees of course!

I'm not sure where the Armageddon theory originated, but I certainly don't claim it. I first heard it from Jon, but heard it again on TV yesterday.

And as to the ugliness in Boston: while the Yankees were not blameless, the initial spark was a Pedro Martinez fastball.
