Actually, I go more for light therapy, especially in the winter. I really respond well to it when it's horrible and dark outside--it's just so relaxing to lie in there and bake.
Damn. I was planning to go tomorrow night, as a matter of fact, since I missed last week.
Well, I am planning to visit my cousins in Miami this winter. But that's only for a little while--last winter went on forever. January through April, and the bad weather continued through all of June.
I'd love to visit the Caribbean...one of my dreams to go there someday and drink in all that richness, all those exotic flowers and white sand and blueblue waters (bluer than tongue can tell, daughter [/poetry geek]) and gorgeousness.
I've never been anywhere more tropically exotic than the Florida Keys (which I suppose are actually temperate, not tropical, but close enough). Jon & Joanne do a Caribbean vacation every year to pursue diving, and from their stories, it sounds wonderful. The simple fact is, though, I'd prefer someplace like Alaska or Iceland in the winter, which is why I've never bothered to visit the islands. Maybe someday upon sufficient enticement. I'd love to go sailing down there.
