Charles Dickens’ immortal classic A Christmas Carol will once again grace the DeBaun stage with Ben Holmes reprising his role as the bitter miser - Ebenezer Scrooge. A Christmas Carol is the story of Scrooge's chance for redemption through the visitation of a partner from the past and three timely ghosts on Christmas Eve.

Yeah, but they did it in real time, so it took two days for each performance. Experimental theater is weird.

Yeah, after the show was over, I stuck my head outside the window of the theater and had to ask some little boy what day it was. Turns out it was Christmas Day! I hadn't missed it!

Except for the last scene, which wraps up everything, ACC takes place in less than 24 hours (if you don't count all the time-traveling Scrooge and the Ghosts do)--so that wasn't the problem. The problem was that in the name of versimilitude, the director insisted on a Tiny Tim who was ACTUALLY lame and dying. We went through several of them during the rehearsal process. It took them forever to learn the blocking. Plus Marley really was dead, and kept showing up late to rehearsals and performces.
