They should be tarred and feathered.

Even as the investment bank Lehman Brothers pleaded for a federal bailout to save it from bankruptcy protection, it approved millions of dollars in bonuses for departing executives, a Congressional committee was told Monday.

The first Congressional hearing into the causes of the financial crisis began with a portrayal of Lehman Brothers as a firm run by irresponsible leaders who continued to reward executives and spend billions on stock buybacks and other capital-depleting programs even as internal documents warned about the impending crisis.

What an unbelievable, unfathomable culture of entitlement. I'm just sitting here with my jaw hanging open.

four days before the bank filed for bankruptcy protection, Lehman’s compensation committee was asked to grant $20 million in “special payments” for three executives who were leaving

FOUR DAYS. Four. Days. These white collar welfare kings beg and plead to nurse at the public tit, while they suck their teeth and console themselves with their golden parachutes. It's Enron all. Fucking. Over. Again.

HATE.

They MUST be REQUIRED to pay that money back in toto! This is beginning to remind me of the French Revolution. And I don't like cake that much either.

We had a CEO a few years back that did hardly anything to advance our company, and we were slightly worse off than when he came on board.

He nonetheless received a million-dollar golden parachute upon his departure. And we only have about 500 million in revenues every year.

It's weird, it's almost like they're getting married to the companies they work for instead of being employees. They have prenups and everything.

This is why whenever I hear someone complaining about how the rich are being treated unfairly, or they complain about "class warfare," I laugh. Then I imagine punching them.
