Vitriolic post on [tos] spawns nuclear thread.

I have to say, now I want to see [tos] because any show that engenders that much viciousness must be GREAT :) I just don't get why people are so personally invested in not just criticizing a show, but absolutely trashing it and everyone in it, including the audience. If you didn't like it, you didn't like it--that doesn't mean everyone who does is stupid or lacks taste. I don't care for some shows--I definitely missed the Les Miz loveboat (although I like some of the songs)--but if it spoke to other people, great, then it did what a show is supposed to do. Nobody's right, it's all just opinions. Be glad you know what you like and let other people have their opinions.

ah les miz....why was that first act 2 hours!? My legs did not thank that show for that. Agreed. Some songs are quite good.

When I saw [tos] most of the audience was going mad crazy and obviously knew the show because they would laugh before things happened. The woman behind me and her husband totally hated it, though, and decided to talk THE WHOLE TIME about how it was not funny. The woman smelled like urine, though, so I am not thinking that she was a critic from a major rag.
