As far as I'm concerned, Shirley Babashoff is the true winner of most of those races. She was treated shamefully--called "Surly Shirley" by the press--but she turned out to be absolutely right.

Yes, I agree it's completely tainted--I really wish they hadn't made such a fuss. When you think of what Hank Aaron went through, and to be followed by this cheater...well, records are made to be broken, including tainted records. Maybe A-Rod can do it.
