A guy at work checked out my laptop--he removed the hard drive and tried to read it on another computer. Nada.

I'm now pricing out hard drives, laptops and Macbooks.

Yup. I do have a lot of the stuff backed up but not everything, and now I'm trying to remember what I *don't* have.

On the bright side, Chris told me hard drives are not too terribly expensive, $100-200.
