Can't. Wait. FINALLY, the man sees the light. I don't care about Hayden Christiansen at the end of ROTJ, and I actually liked seeing the celebrations throughout the galaxy and the new song ("Celebrate Tonight" was pretty craptastic, guys, let's admit it). But Han Shot First, dammit!

I am so George Lucas's bitch.

I must disagree with you on one point: while I won't argue that the ewok song at the end of ROTJ was great, I absolutely loathed and despised the awful, new-agey synth music they replaced it with. Not only did it sound terrible, but it looked incredibly stupid to see everyone dancing and clapping and not have it sync up with the music.

I don't know who you're disagreeing with...but I LOATHE Return of the Jedi. Of course, if Carlos wants to watch it every once in a great while I will. But I'll complain and annoy him the whole time.

I have scads and scads of great memories associated with ROTJ, mostly because I was the perfect age to get caught up in the toy, trading card, and merchandizing bonanza. It's certainly my least favorite of the three, but I'll always have a soft spot for it (just like Temple of Doom and Transformers: The Movie), and it's probably my favorite score of the three.

I'm just stoked that I'll be able to ensure that Jack's first exposure to Star Wars will be the original cuts that I grew up with, and that I can finally replace my VHS copies that are dying from age and use.

Okay, you're right about the syncing (or lack thereof), but I loved that misty New Age-y sound. I thought it went nicely with all the forest outfits everyone had on--it made me want to play the recorder and go to a RenFest.

God, I'm a geek.

He still hates us

Jim Ward states that the releases will be of 1993 quality, which is completely utter upsetting shite, because the films were remastered in 1997 before mucking them up. There should be a good-looking copy available.
