I'm back.

Lots to tell, but later, after I've unpacked. For now, New Orleans--battered, bloody and boarded up, dirty, full of trash and flapping in the wind--is still the most pure, shiny, silly fun you can have anywhere. I feel replete with very joy.

The picture doesn't even do it justice--I have an enormous amount of beads (and cups, doubloons, etc.) in my living room right now.

I think they're a little afraid of the toxic waste pile of beadage on the floor--it might suck them in. Eventually of course they'll get over their fear and stalk and kill the beads. Because the beads. Must. Die.
