Drunken Knitting
Nov. 14th, 2005 08:58 pmOh yeah, we also had another session of Drunken Knitting. Seth, Tracy, Paula, Tesse and Susan were there. We had an awesome time, with lots of autumnal drinks. I started it off by heating some apple cider and mixing in some white wine and cinnamon and mulled spices, and then adding a small shot of dark rum (which Tracy provided) after I'd poured it into the mug. Seth brought a hugh jass bottle of Cabernet that we never opened. Tesse brought a bunch of different kinds of cheeses and some bread, which was popped in the oven (my toaster seems to be on the fritz--ANNOYING) and then buttered and served with sliced cheese. I also made some Pumpkin Alexanders--pumpkin puree with cream and milk, and nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger (I would've added cloves but I only have whole cloves and wasn't in the mood to grind them--I use the coffee grinder). Plus, of course, rum.
I love my Drunken Knitters-in-crime! The next one will be in a few weeks, as Seth was broadly hinting for some pumpkin bread which of course is best served during the holidays.
