It's not been a bad day, per se, but I'm a little depressed. Last week was much worse. I just need warm kitties whose love takes strange forms, like suffocating me with purrs (Tatia sleeps against my face, purring wildly the whole time) or gnawing on my feet (Tibby does this a lot--he has an oral fixation and teeths on my a lot).
Griffin has become quite fond of the rubber "make a wish foundation" bracelets we got last week. he doesn't really play with them, he just carries them around in his mouth. last night he was mad that we were going to sleep when he still wanted to play, and stood at the doorway of the bedroom, mewing... with the bracelet in his mouth! at first i thought he got a tooth stuck, but no. he just likes it.
Our cat loves the rubber bracelets. She'll chase them, bat them around the floor, pounce at them if you throw them near her.
If you have a steady hand, you can hold it in front of her, paralell to the ground, and she'll get on her hind paws and stretch for it. Which makes it very easy to loop it over her nose like you're playing ring toss.
Once, and only once, I was able to sneak up behind her and loop the bracelet over her tail. Confused the bejeezus out of her. It was awesome.
He carries them in his mouth to pretend they're mice. Tibby does the same thing with rubber bands and wadded-up bits of paper. He carries them importantly from the bedroom to the living room, and back again.
