ceebeegeeDoug and I are in Newport, Rhode Island, with my friend Susan, staying at his parents' place. The weather has been lovely. We've been just relaxing for the past two days, lying in the sun on the beach and flopping around town. Yesterday Susan and I walked through town and I bought a hat, and then we had burgers, corn and beer on the deck last night. Then Doug and I went to a pub and played pool.
We had to clean the place up very well, because his parents have offered it to a New Orleans family that will be arriving later this week. I'm trying to figure out what I want to for New Orleans--I may take off a week this month or next and go down there and man phones or swing a hammer.
