You can opt out of pre-screened credit card offers that get your name from one of the big three credit reporting agencies (Experian, Equifax, TransUnion). I researched them and they're legit. I always hate getting pre-approved offers in the mail because that's a major identity theft liability. I've called Citibank many times to get my name off the list and some Indian-accented guy always promises to take me off the list, which never happens. This should take care of it, starting in a few months.

I need to get myself a shredder. They're only like $30 or so.

Back in December, somebody changed my credit card mailing address and ordered a Dell PC with my card.

That's my nightmare. I shred everything. Anything with my name and address on it. But I'm getting tired of bringing mail to work to be shredded, so this seems like a partial solution.
