I took advantage of the three-day weekend and spent Saturday and Sunday at Doug's. Yesterday we went to the Gaslight for brunch--they have a great brunch deal, with all sorts of extras like raspberry crumb cake and drinks and whatnot. Afterward I wanted to go shopping--Hoboken has so many cute shops and I've never really checked them out. We walked down Washington Street; I was trying to walk in the sun as it was quite chilly outside. We popped in here and there. There's a very nice yarn shop that opened a few months ago called Patricia's Yarns between 7th and 8th. We wandered into peper as well, where I've never been. I love their selection although the stuff is pretty expensive! Nonetheless I ended up buying a pretty little lavender shrug with this realy unusual, cool peacock print with lime greens, purple and fuschias in the pattern. It is so pretty. The quintessence of girliness!

I was looking for a lingerie shop that I thought I'd seen uptown and we eventually found it. Some VERY nice stuff there, including white fuzzy mules that I considered buying but decided against--they were a little dirty. On the way back we went into the Romantic Depot and checked out the video section, where they included such deathless contributions to cinema as Shut Up and Swallow. I think that would be a good sequel to Shut Up and Show Us Your Tits.

Today I tried on the shrug from peper with one of my favorite camisoles and they go perfectly together! I'll wear it when the weather gets a little better--it's very spring.

I have to try to get tired at 8:00 tonight since I have to be up at the CRACK OF ASS tomorrow morning for the Suave gig. Tomorrow, Wednesday, and then Saturday again, since our flight leaves at 6:59 am.
