Alex's Party
Jan. 10th, 2005 01:22 pmSo Alex had her burfday soiree Saturday night, at a bar downtown called Antarctica. The deal was $20 for a three-hour open bar. They snap a link onto your wrist and give you a lil' plastic stadium cup in which to drink. The drinks were VERY STRONG. I like a little cranberry juice with my vodka, thanks. Doug and I played pool and kicked some ass. I actually played a good game--Doug taught me some technique over Thanksgiving and this was the first chance I'd had to put it into practice. He was watching the Jets football game between shots and was testosteronically happy when they won in overtime. During one particularly vociferous fist-punched yell, Keith looked at me and drawled "He is so straight, isn't he?" I like that about Doug. He's such a guy.
Keith and I had a cool conversation about working together. I would like that.
Doug and I left around 1:something, and walked to the WTC PATH station which is all gorgeous and new. They also take MTA cards now which is awesome--no more scrounging around for $1.50 late at night.
