A simple reason comes to mind: No factual error has been found in Fahrenheit 9/11; most of the material there, while deeply embarrassing to President Bush, is well established.
By contrast, the charges against Mr. Kerry have been brought by people who have been contradicted by the testimony of those who witnessed the events.
Let's stop pretending that character assassination through wild accusations is the same as exposing embarrassing truths.
