HiH Rehearsal
Apr. 8th, 2004 09:55 amRehearsal last night went very well. I blocked pretty much all of the show, since Prometheus has no blocking to speak of (he just hangs there). I added an opening sequence before the dialogue starts, wherein Sisyphus pushes the Rock up three times and the Rock rolls down every time. This will be done in half-light, and Duncan suggested music as well. He's going to bring in some Philip Glass (Philip Ass as Bart would say, although I like PG).
It's going to look really good. I'm very pleased right now. And my actors are great--good attitudes, hard-working, engaging. I must say, I'm especially pleased with Duncan's work. Tuesday at the readthrough I gave a general note and Duncan really applied it--his characterization last night was subtly different, but it made a lot of difference to me, it was exactly in the direction that I wanted.
I think this is gonna be a great little play. I can't wait 'til this goes up.
