Jul. 21st, 2004 02:19 pmDidn't get called in this morning to work, so I'm running around getting stuff done (shoes, nails, library). Between shoes and nails, I bought a Luna bar (Nutz Over Chocolate) and a bottle of seltzer water, and stood in the middle of the sidewalk on 52nd Street (between 9th & 10th) and drank and ate. I could see people walking by and talking, a few teenagers passed me, the German place was a few steps away and there were people sitting outside having lunch. Last night I sat out on my fire escape and read Metamorphoses of Helen, a book about literary treatments of Helen of Troy that I need to return today. I love having my ownbalcony fire escape. Especially at night.
