My scene last night went better--probably the best I've done it. Felt good. Duncan was there, as was Judy from work. Duncan and I went out to the Bull Moose afterward and I had wings, a beer and two margs. Duncan did not like the show, although he was very complimentary about my work in it. We discussed the show in exquisite detail. Duncan pointed out one line about Hecuba's "withered arms," and now Nora's new sobriquet will be She Whose Arms Are Not In Fact Withered.

After Bull Moose, we went down to the Village to drink some more and scream show tunes at Marie's Crisis. I got another margarita that was in fact a margarita (the bartender last time make me something else that tasted kind of foul) and we eventually worked our way up to the bar. It was fun. Some guy started talking to me, asking me what I did, was I a peformer, etc. I was trying to answer his questions ans sing along at the same time, so I referred him to Duncan. I could hear Duncan saying something like "we met doing Gilbert and Sullivan...she definitely has the notes..." I love how Duncan always has my back. He's like my manager or pimp or something. The pianist asked if there was something I wanted to sing and I asked if he knew The Little Mermaid. He started playing snatches of "Part of Your World" and I chimed in with the verse ("look at this stuff/isn't it neat...") but I was struggling a bit with the lyrics and asked the people around me to help me out. So I didn't really get a solo but the next time, I'll know the lyrics. We also got to sing "Suddenly Seymour" from Little Shop and some stuff from The Boyfriend. The waiter at one point sang "Johnny One Note" so right now that song is going through my head.

We left at 3:40--oy. I was actually a little drunk and had a hard time walking steadily. I think those margaritas were stronger than I realized.
