Last night I got home and immediately changed into my pajamas. I spent the evening half-listening to CNN and fiddling on my computer, and I actually got to bed at a decent hour and caught up on some sleep. I feel much better today.

Kevin called yesterday and sent an email--he wanted to know when to expect hearing something from Sam French. In the email he also said that he didn't have email access on the weekends (huh? He has a Yahoo! address--can't he just go to Kinko's and check it?) and criticized the Love Creek people for entrusting time-sensitive information to email. Hmm. He has a point but still, I don't accept his not having email access on the weekends. That's not too cool either. But anyway, he did at least contact me.

Mike, let me know when you decide what you're doing re: the July 4 boat excursion, because if you do decide that, I'll probably do the cookout on Saturday.

The boat excursion doesn't look very likely. The only places in the area to rent a boat are down by Atlantic Highlands and out on the Long Island Sound. Either option would require a 4-6 hour sail just to get the boat to NYC, and I'd need crew (1-2 people) for that. I'll make some calls and let you know in a day or two.

If you don't do the boat thing, I can have the cookout on the 4th, starting in the early afternoon, and then we can all go somewhere to watch the fireworks.

You know that I would be willing to crew if you decide to rent the boat from either location. That way I can work on my tan. :)

First thing I have to do is find either location. I haven't found them on Google yet. I may have to ask around on Thursday to see if anyone knows the names of these places...
