Paul Johnson, the hostage being held in Saudi Arabia, has been beheaded.

Paul Johnson is his name. Paul Johnson. These are the names. Paul Johnson. Paul Johnson is his name. It is not infidel or criminal or hostage or American. He was a human being and his name is Paul Johnson. He was a human being and they denied that.

I will not forget. Paul Johnson.

Anger is such a small, finite, word to describe how I feel about these psychopathic criminals. But did you know that many Saudis, our "allies", consider these insects to be heros? Capturing and beheading a man who did nothing to anyone.....heros. Because they think Allah thinks thats a great idea. I don't get it, I simply do not get it.

Disgusting, non-human, cowards....cowards. Suppose we just invite them to a brawl, set a place and time, get them out in the open, see how many of these "heros" show up. Worthless ignorant filth.

In my Walter Mitty world I'm joining the marines like I should have done the first time just so I could face this evil, and kill it.

I got here (to my evening assignment) at 5:00, and read the headline on Yahoo! and just put my head down and started crying. Katie came over and hugged me and gave me tissues. If I read another article I'll cry again. That's a human being with a name and people who love him--not an entity, not a representative of America or a religion. I don't understand. I don't understand how they could do that to another human being, when they're human. I just don't get it. I don't think I could do that even to Osama bin Laden or Saddamn Hussein, or Hitler. I don't understand.

We are all brothers and sisters. How can they act that way?

These are non-people, they don't have the same concept of humanity or civilization. They were raised ignorant of anything but Islam and instructed that to kill in the name of god is a good thing. They believe what they are doing is sanctioned by god, therefore they have no need for their humanity. It is to them a weakness.

You can not apply reason or logic to them, you simply must kill them. There is no other way.

I hate this. And the worst part is I knew he wouldn't be rescued.
There wouldn't be a negotiation or anything. Not in our policy.
They knew that. They must have been waiting for that.

I knew no one would do anything and now another family is mourning.
I can't take much more of this.

We dispatched a counter-terrorism team to Saudi Arabia, and the Saudis had something like 15000 agents/officers breaking down doors to find him. It's not like nothing was done.

Anyone or any group that would execute another human being in this fashion (and let's not forget, this is the second beheading of a civilian in this area), seems highly unlikely to negotiate fairly nor to stop the killings simply because we meet their demands. There's a reason it's "not in our policy" to negotiate with these people.

I don't want this anymore than you do, but honestly, what would you suggest we do?

I gotta say, the result of this proves why we don't negotiate with savages like this. No matter what we would've done, they would've killed him. They fucking beheaded him. A civilian. They cut off his head. These aren't the kind of subhumans with whom you can negotiate.

First Nicholas Berg, now Paul Johnson. Let's be sure to remember all the names. Nick Berg; Paul Johnson.

Yes.

These are the names--the opening phrase of Exodus:

These are the names--

And if I could name all the victims of 9/11 here I would, but since I can't, since I can only say here:

These are the names:

Daniel Pearl, Nicholas Berg, Paul Johnson

I think that the Israelis had a good idea when they decided to go after the killers of their 1972 Olympic team. There are still one or two of them out there that the Mossad is looking to locate and destroy. Perhaps the US should consider the same tactics, locate and eliminate the responsible parties.

Then again, in my opinion, killing them quickly is no punishment at all. They should be allowed to suffer for a while with a wasting disease, then be fed antibiotics, then be allowed to suffer more until they rot... the Geneva Convention be damned...

There's one still alive--the guys who made the documentary A Day in September interviewed him. But yeah, the Mossad got most of them, amid international screaming about extralegal execution. Too. Fucking. Bad.
