The best day of the year! My favorite holiday! Brightly colored candy (including candy corn, my favorite), carved pumpkins with dimly glowing grins, costumes--I. Love. It. All. Love the chill in the air, love the dead leaves scattered on the sidewalk, love the spooky scary stuff, love the black and orange everywhere, love the withdrawing into home as the days get shorter and colder, love the apple cider with caramel--it's all so gloriously Halloweeny. Someday I'll get a bigger apartment in a building with kids, and I'll be able to hand out candy.
