Robyn and I saw a commercial for it, and laughed our collective anatomies off (and I haven't even seen the first one).

As a chick in good standing, I *love* the original--it's a fantastic movie, with a hottt guy and a gorgeous girl and a great script--"Toepick!" "Will you excuse me? Naked male insecurity really leaves me cold"--and terrific performances. (The performances are really what makes the movie, since the script is a bit formulaic and there are a LOT of problems--eligible skating does not allow followspots, it's well-nigh impossible to believe he could improve his figure skating that quickly, etc. But they're just so good together.)

The sequel--just sucks. All the actors are miscast, they're trying way too hard to recreate the original EXACTLY, the actress playing Jackie is a frog next to Moira Kelly's princess...*sigh.*

I love the original. Why did they make a sequel! We own the original because Seth loves it.
