For anyone who's seen Altar Boyz, Ryan's (Juan) website, newly online.

And, because I cannot resist showing off my important famous friends, a few pictures with me and Ryan and Tracy Thoms (Joanne in the upcoming movie of Rent), from when the three of us did Hair together. Click on the link--the second from the left is Ryan and me, with Chris Noll (who goes by Chris Wylde now--you can see him as a commentator on humorous shows now, and he did an ad campaign for Domino's Pizza). My hair is all curly because I was working the curly-ass perms then--one of the few times my fast-growing, straight-ass hair would be perfect would be when I'm doing HAIR, and that's the time I pick to have it in a perm! The last picture on the right is of the whole cast--Tracy is in the middle, Ryan is directly above her, and I am on the lower right, with my hair in braids. Tracy was Sheila--I did the part when she wasn't there, after she'd left to go to Juilliard--and the two of us were completely different Sheilas. She rocked the riffing better than I did--I am not used to riffing, and had to learn it for "I-eee-yi-ee-yi beLIEVE in LOVE" and for "White Boys" which I had to sing since they'd given it to a black Sheila and all of a sudden the whitest chick on the planet was singing "White boys/are so lovely/Beautiful as girls!" like it was some kind of white pride anthem! But I proved myself when the band's electricity cut out (or something--I just remember Buzz saying very quietly to me, in front of the audience, "just sing the song") completely just before "Easy to Be Hard" and I picked the correct pitch out of thin air--and I do not have perfect pitch, only relative pitch--and halfway through the song the music came in, and I was in key, and afterwards the Tribe was waiting for me, to hug me. That was awesome. Man, I loved doing that show.

I am so proud of all my friends! Ryan doing so well with Altar Boyz, and Tracy with Rent, and Alex and Elizabeth cutting a swath with newly-earned Equity cards (so ENVIOUS!! In a good way, of course), and Jason getting all fired up about his acting career. I am sure there are more people I should be proud but but I can't remember them now. But you know I love you anyway.
