My cousin Larson
Jan. 2nd, 2006 03:22 pmSo, another one of my nine million cousins is visiting this week--my cousin Larson. He is the second son of my dad's second oldest sister, my aunt Clarissa (she is also my godmother). Criss has two sons, Chandler and Larson, by her ex-husband, my (ex-)uncle Jay who is a nuclear scientist (really). Criss has a Ph.D. in psychology (like my stepmother) and Chandler and Larson are both ABD--in fact I think Larson is working on his dissertation right now. He is AWESOME--not too much younger than I (I think 4 years?) and tall and redheaded and devastatingly good-looking.
This is my cousin Roslyn (visited last August), Criss and Larson, and Larson's sister-in-law Angela and niece Ella. This picture was taken at my grandmother's funeral.
Larson reminds me of my little brother Stuart--both have that height and that big Green smile. We played together as children--I remember this little redheaded kid with a sweet smile (I remember Chandler more clearly, as he's just a year or two younger). Larson and I connected more as we got older, at various family functions--he and I both had similar issues with a plethora of romantic partners (I fascinated my cousins at the funeral when I told them I was dating three guys at the time). We were teasing each other, calling each other "playa." Of course Larson is not a real player; he is much too nice and good to dick people around, he's just very attractive and successful.
Yay! I can't wait to see him! I'm thinking Thursday or Friday night we'll hang out if people want to come along.
