Gorgeous day today. I had an audition in the Village that went really well, then I wandered around there for the rest of the afternoon. Man, what a beautiful afternoon. Did some shopping--bought some awesome distressed cowboy boots that look smokin' hot. They really do rock. I also bought a couple of pairs of jeans which I needed--I left the one pair that fits me decently at Doug's parent's place in Newport (I think) and have been wearing my feeling-fat jeans ever since. There was a great salesgirl there that really knocked herself out to help people: I should get her name to write her a letter of praise. Having worked retail myself, I will do that sometimes when an especially helpful person does me good. There was a street fair right by Washington Square Park with the usual booths--I got a 10-minute massage from the ubiquitous Chinese men. Then I walked back to my apartment--I was hoping to hit the Emack and Bolio's (awesome ice cream place) in Chelsea but either they've moved or I got the wrong avenue (6th). So I settled for a sherbet-and-selzter shake from Ben & Jerry's.
I love October.
