Woohoo! Got the iVillage modeling gig!

I felt my performance was kind of distracted tonight. Keith was in the audience and was ten flavors of sweet afterwards. I adore him--he is really an awesome person. Duncan's mother, Grace, was also there, and was very sweet as well. I need to talk with her more. She's so cool. We went out afterwards and had a three act drama about where to eat because our group was so big--we ended up at EAR (should read BAR but parts of the neon B have faded). We had a huge table and I sat across from Tesse--who's Jewish!! How cool is that!! That just makes her EVEN MORE AWESOME. We started riffing on a conversation in Eternity about homosexuality, about how 50% of the world's population was Jewish (because at the table, 3 out of 6 of us were Jewish). Tesse and I came up with a JUG riff on the LUG phenomenon at the same time, which was awesome. (LUGs are Lesbians Until Graduation, a frequent women's college thing--there were many at Mount Holyoke but very few at Sweet Briar. In fact, none that I can think of. SBC is pretty conventional.)

I bought a Halloweeny hairband from Frank. *Sigh.* I love this time of year. I also had a sweet conversation with a guy who's been helping out at the Festival--his name is Steven and he's been at the theater before. I introduced myself and he said "Oh, I know you--I admired your directing of last year's play [Sleeping in Tomorrow, another one of Duncan's plays]. You're one of the family now!" I said, "This is actually my third year in the Festival--two years ago I played Marina in Dik and Jayne." He was all "That's right! I remember that!" Just a nice guy. Nothing's so comforting as having a nice conversation with a gay gay, because you know he won't hit on you. I'm just really getting tired of that.
