Monday, Monday & c.
Oct. 4th, 2004 05:12 pmI had an art modeling gig at FIT scheduled for the crack of ass this morning--8-11. *Yarghhh* Naturally I went to bed around 2:00. I rolled out of bed and trudged down there only to discover they didn't need me--for some reason they'd booked me incorrectly, although the professor was very nice and approved my hours anyway. Yay! So I trudged back up to Midtown, enjoying the morning, and attended Morning Prayer at St. Mary's (what my mother calls Morning Bore--she thinks church without communion is pointless. I kind of agree but it's better than nothing). Then I went back to my apartment and went back to sleep, setting my alarm for 11:00. I ended up hitting the snooze button 6 straight times--the last time I simply slept through the alarm blaring next to me for 15 minutes, until I finally got up. Damn. Exhaustion.
I was supposed to go down to the theater to see the space, because I cannot do the final dress. I ended up there around 1:15-1:30, instead of 12:00, but it was worth it.
Walked back to my apartment, stopping at Bed, Bath & Beyond to get a timer (and also bought a cute lil' pumpkin pie-scented candle) and at Food Emporium to get groceries. So, so, so beautiful today.
Elizabeth is very sick, so Duncan recast the role on the fly. His friend Tesse, who has a website about the musical Parade that's very informative, will be taking over the role of Tara. Heigh-ho, the glamorous life.
On Saturday, I wanted to get the cast used to my being topless at the top of the second act so they wouldn't be titillated by it and sneak glances at Calliope, so I took off my shirt. The whole point is that they're blase about Calliope's ways--they've seen it before. Alas, from what I could see, everyone reared in primitive awe from the sight of the perky breasts. *Sigh* People. They're breasts. Men got 'em too.
After rehearsal I went over to Hoboken to hang out with Doug, throw around the football, and eat Mexican food. Mmm...
