Pain. A dentist visit today, with at least two more to come. Tooth extraction. Pain. Drugs. Lots of drugs. Two different painkillers (one for day, one for night), plus an antibiotic. More pain.

Update

The pain has abated somewhat, to be replaced by the nausea. I don't know if this is due to the painkiller or the antibiotic (I get sick from erythromycin but this isn't that).

What a bunch of stupid fucking savages.

These people were turning on the electricity for them. They weren't militants; they were helping to rebuild the power grid (about which we hear endless complaints that it's not going fast enough). And yet the mob is "happy"--"rejoicing"--dancing at their deaths. And yet as soon as we leave as promised, they'll scream about that too.

I love this, from one of the wounded yet: "All the victims are Iraqis, so by God, they must be Americans because Iraqis don't kill fellow Iraqi brothers." Um, hello? Your own President made an art of killing his "brothers," including his sons-in-law. A little less tribal loyalty--a little more human decency.
