Mass career mailing

I'm buried in the middle of a large project--my first mass mailing. I have a database of a couple hundred casting directors and agents, to whom I am sending my headshot and resume, and a cover letter. It's an enormous undertaking--I keep thinking of new things I have to do. Type up CD labels, type up agent labels, type up your labels, update resume, print out another hundred copies on 8x10 paper at Jo's Printing, buy another hundred $.60 stamps, stamp the envelopes, buy more envelopes, edit the letters obsessively to make sure they sound good, notate which CDs don't want postcards, which ones only want postcards, which attend showcases, which want you to indicate whether or not you have a passport on the outside of your envelope... Once I'm done with this I have to send updates every month or so but those are easier--I can just send my postcards.

I've been working on this for a couple of weeks now. It's a lot of work.

Dave Zimmerman just emailed me. They're having me come to callbacks on Thursday at 6:30 instead of 7:30, to accomodate my schedule. I told them I have to be out by 7:00--and hit the ground running. Heigh diddly dee, the actor's life for me.
