Rest in Peace, John Ritter, Sadness on the Streets

I love John Ritter. I've always thought he was great--I'm a big Three's Company fan and always defended that show by pointing to him. God, what a loss. The world is a smaller, sadder place today.

I went out for a bit just now and went over to Payless to see if I could pick up some shoes that would go better with what I'm wearing now. Didn't find anything I liked, so I left--on my way back I passed a very old-looking, skinny woman blowing randomly into a harmonica and holding out a cup. I never give to homeless people but Jesus--I stopped and pulled out some money and out it in her cup. What the hell? That woman had no flesh on her. She's trying to make money by making an attempt at music? It was heart-breaking--what the hell is wrong with us that a skinny old woman is begging on the streets? I can't stop crying about it.

What an awful day.
