This kiss, this kiss...it's criminal...

My innards hurt. Weirdness going on.
Yesterday Tracy called me up and invited me over to Brooklyn to hang out with her and her friends at a street fair on Atlantic Avenue. I got there around 4:00 and we had sangria at an outdoor table outside a restaurant. They offered red and white sangria, which struck me as odd--I first discovered the drink in Spain, and I don't think I ever saw white sangria there. That would make little sense, as the name comes from the fact that it's the color of blood. Anyway, it was pretty yummy.
We wandered around for a bit--there was a bluegrass band and Tracy grabbed me and we were dancing in the little straw-covered dance area. I don't really know how to shag, although I am a good follower. Tracy sometimes led, and sometimes expected me to lead--I don't lead! I need a strong male dancer to lead me in partner stuff. After that we wandered into a hipster bar which had karaoke happening. freeman (Tracy's boyfriend) is, oddly, really into Karaoke. He sang "Born to Be Wild" and something else, and was adorably dorky. I sang "This Kiss" which was WAY TOO LOW--it was in F# major, which is at least a whole step lower than Faith Hill sings it. That's already a low song for me, and I couldn't believe anyone could hear it. The karaoke was fun but the place was one of those too-dark, too-crowded bars that give me the willies, the kind of place where you're likely to get something spilled on you.
We eventually left and joined Freeman's mother at a Lebanese restaurant nearby. Falafel and Lebanese coffee (which is similar to Turkish coffee--absolutely deadly strong and chewy), mmm....
I finally accomplished the switchover to fall/winter clothing. Now I just have to iron a boatload of clothes, *sigh*...
