I crave seafood...

...clams and crabs and shrimp, grilled outside on the deck, with lots of good beer and cocktails, and maybe a doggie running around.

I want summer.

Sorry, my dear... It's going to be a yummy Yankee pot roast tomorrow instead. Shrimp is expensive. But keep rooting for me to find a good job, and we'll celebrate with a stuffed shrimp dinner! :)

(Tricia wants to know if you like mussels... She makes an amazing mussels marinara!)

We were promised shrimp. WTF?

I LOVE mussels. I love all seafood. Mussels marinara sounds awesome.

Should we bring something tomorrow? Wine or something? Drugs?

I think we can do mussels, though I have to ask Tricia about the whole pasta during Lent thing. I was rather hoping to try out my new slow cooker, though, with a pot roast. You've got something against beef?

A bottle of wine would be perfect. Red goes with whichever meal we wind up making. A nice chianti, perhaps.

There's no specific prohibition against pasta during Lent--the one specific prohibition is against meat on Fridays during Lent. And if you want, you can give up something else. And anyway, technically Lent ends after Easter Vigil tonight.

I'm fine with beef--not into steak but pot roast sounds lovely. I'll get a nice chianti.

Check your email -- we got the shrimp. The deal with pasta was that Tricia gave that up for Lent. Anyway, it's irrelevant now :)
