I get no kick from champagne/Mere alcohol doesn't thrill me at all...

Last week Doug and I were emailing, and in one I happened to mention that I'd seen Mike (at Alex's b-day get-together)--I said something like "we had a nice long chat." Doug asked "About what?" and and I said "mostly about the wedding--I don't think he's going to have any alcohol. It sounded like that anyway." (Mike had been telling me about plans for the reception and I swear it seemed as though he was hinting like that.) Doug was all "What the hell? I'll have to go talk some sense into him."

Yesterday I get a text from Mike consoling me about the Saints loss, and he added at the end "BTW, what's the deal about spreading rumors about an alcohol-free wedding? :-) " I replied "I *thought* that seemed out of character! But that's what you seemed to be saying...obviously I misinterpreted..." Mike replied "I was joking! I won't be drinking much but there will be plenty of booze for those who want it. Doug was really worried! :-)" I texted back "So was I!"

Seth and I were concerned that the wedding we attended in Indy would be dry. It was not, thankfully!

Yeah, you shouldn't worry over such things. Even I would have alcohol at my wedding (if for no other reason than the bride would have to be tanked up in order to say "I do").
