That is so crazy! Maybe there is a good reason. I mean, there is no such thing as a good reason for throwing everyone else into that crap but my guess is this: Julie has a major health emergency and she cannot do the show so she decided that no one else can do the show. It is her company so without her it is cancelled. Crazy!
Catherine said she thought Julie got overwhelmed. One time for another show, Julie was talking about the need to sell tickets and she started rambling and getting all emotional and saying if she had to paper the house, she'd have to stop producing and would move back to Chicago, and the whole thing was VERY weird and uncomfortable. I wrote her a long email that night about the need to stay in control when you're in a leadership position--how you can't lose your shit and flake out and get all upset in front of us, that it undermines morale. She responded very well and didn't get mad, but she hasn't learned a THING. She still gets overwhelmed. That will HAPPEN when you're producing and cast yourself in a role you an't do (she was Lady Macbeth).
