Drunk Knitting and Mexican Food

Wednesday I hosted a Drunken Needleworks Party. Paula, Seth and Susan were there--Tesse showed up for a little bit but had to leave to review a show. It was so much fun! We had some very strong drinks (margaritas, cosmos and apple-tinis) and then settled down and did our thing, chattering away. Paula was having a rough time with the ribbing on her project, so I helped her out with that. I made some progress on the bag I'm making. I want to do this again about once a month.

Last night I went into Hoboken to work out--it's a bit of a hassle to have to take the bus to work out but then I get to see Doug so it's all good. Walked on the treadmill doing the "Fat Burn" routine, then did some weights. Doug was downstairs when I hit the bench and I gave up after struggling with it. I get nervous on that with no one to spot me. Yes, I'm weak.

Afterward we went to Qordoba. That shit's good! That's really good food for what's basically a fast food chain. YUM.

Girl, Qdoba rocks my world.
I salivate at the very thought of it.

I love Qdoba. I could live on burritos.

Also, the bench without a spot is a bad very idea regardless of strength. My brother got trapped under his working weigh for way too long once until he managed to lift it. I am not allowed to say what he works at but it could have a done a lot of damage. He is not weak. (I used to be braggy about his working weight and max and he is the modest type so he threatened that if I tell he tells something embarassing about me)

That is very true. All it took was one embarassing pin under the weight to learn never do that again. If I don't think I can manage more than one I ask for someone to spot me. I'm gonna guess your brother is in the "300 club".

Qdoba is good but you should try El Barrio Burrito. They're right across the street from city hall.

Do they serve margaritas? Doug and I love East LA--good food and nice strong margs.

They're a little hole in the wall so they're only good for takeout. If you like sangria, bring a bottle of wine to Charrito's one block up. They'll whisk your wine away and bring you back a tasty pitcher of sangria. They will also make you guacamole fresh at your table. It is yummy.

I don't know another place in Hoboken for good margarita's. Have you tried The Cowgirl Hall of Fame on Hudson and 10th (12th?). They make good margarita's and also serve the best brick of baked mac & cheese ever.

MM, sounds YUMMY. I love margaritas.

I will definitely let you know about the next time--as I said, I'd like to do it about once a month. We missed you!
