From the New York Times...

What a great article--it's all about how to fight, in small ways, irritating things that corporations do today. I do the pressing zero thing, because voice mail annoys me to no end.

This was cool:

During the Solidarity movement in Poland, people expressed their disapproval of the government-run news media by taking a walk with their hats on backward at exactly 6 p.m. when the state news program started. When the government noticed the trend, it issued curfews, but people then put their televisions in their windows facing outward so that only the police walking the streets would see the broadcasts.

The only thing I've ever done is automatically press zero when I get a voice menu since 9 times out of 10 it will just tell you to do that anyway; 8 minutes later. But the use of the heavy mailing envelopes to inflict higher postage is brilliant. Need to try that one.

Isn't that awesome? Note to self: Do that next time (i.e., tomorrow) you receive yet ANOTHER pre-approved credit card offer in the mail.
