Went to the dentist today. The news is not good.

I have very Anglo-Saxon teeth, as my mom would say. They are too large for my mouth, which is small, which makes flossing a problem. They are also soft so they can have more...problems than normal teeth. My dad and his siblings always incurred apocalyptic dentist bills as children.

*Sigh.* At least my gums are in good shape.

I have a small mouth too, I've had to have about 7 teeth pulled in my life because they wouldn't fit. And every tooth has a filling. It's great fun being anglo.

I still have all my teeth. My wisdom teeth were never removed because when I was younger and it was determined that my teeth were too big for my mouth, my dentist went through a process of filing them down so that they would all fit. He did a great job for the most part, but miscalculated a bit on my lower jaw... two of my teeth are slightly misaligned because the wisdom tooth on my lower left side needed more room than was allowed.

Really? They filed them down? I've never even heard of that. Maybe I should try that. It would've saved my parents a lot of money in orthodontia.
