See, I actually love the show--sure it's dated but you can do it as a period piece. Certainly the themes are pretty timeless, and it's not as though nobody anymore has any clue who Ed Sullivan was.
They did the Talk to Me quartet in this production (they had to, since they cut everything else Rosie does!) and it actually sounded lovely, the men had great voices.
I have no doubt your HS production was better. OY.
