I submitted myself a few weeks ago to a "agency" called Explore Talent--some guy named DaSean called me today and wanted to talk to me. He rattled off all these dazzling sounding auditions, like Rent (either Broadway or the movie), national tours, print ads. With every audition he would tell me how much I'd make if I got it. Also, I was a "sweetie," I was "adorable," I looked "way young." He also worked in twice how "we don't get a commission, we work on a straight fee." When he slowed down, expecting me to get the picture and jump in all starry-eyed, credit card ready, I told him I only worked with agents, I wasn't comfortable working with anything but the normal commission structure. He was very polite, and I hung up quickly.

What a fucking idiot. Dude, my resume along tells you I have some experience. Do you really think I don't see through that bullshit? The hard sell, "you'll make a gazillion dollars with this!!" Oooh, take my money, please!

Morons.
