Doug and I just came from my friend Tim's (whom I used to date--Duncan, Paula and Jason know him) party. Tim has a party every year on St. Patrick's Day at the Plaza overlooking the parade route. Doug and I showed up at 3:30 and hung out for a little while--there was an Irish band, lots of sandwiches and beer, and a lot of agents and cops. Doug overheard one woman saying "I hope I still have my gun..." as she patted herself absentmindedly.
I plan to try some Guinness tonight.
